FAQ

How long should my appointment be?

Nobody likes extended waits at the doctor’s office. Wouldn't you rather be off meeting the love of your life or flying a kite?

We want to make everyone's wait as short as possible and the best way for this to happen is to encourage appropriate booking times.

Please inform us at the time of booking if you require a longer consultation.

A Standard Consult is usually up to 15 minutes duration, covering 1 problem in detail, or 2 simple problems.

A Long Consult is up to 30 minutes duration, covering 1 complex problem or multiple problems in detail.

You will need a Long Consult appointment for:

  • A full body skin check (book a standard consult for a single mole check)

  • Mental health consultations

  • Women’s health issues

  • Implanon insertion or removal (please book a standard consult for Implant Insertion)

  • IUD Insertion & Removal

  • Workplace health assessments

  • Complete health checks

  • Type II diabetes

  • Weight management

*An Extended Consult is for complex issues taking more than 40 minutes duration.

Do you accept New Patients?

Yes, we do! Most of our doctors are accepting new patients.

Please note that Dr. Sunny Chin and Dr. Diana Lo are only seeing their existing patients at the practice.

If you are unsure which doctor is suitable for you, give us a call and we can help you find the best fit for your medical needs.

Do you take walk-in patients?

To ensure each patient receives ample time for their consultation and to keep waiting times to a minimum, we require patients to make an appointment prior to their visit.

As a result, we cannot guarantee that walk-in patients will be seen immediately. However, we will do our best to accommodate your needs and help you find the next available appointment.

Billing Principles

Brunswick Doctors is a private billing clinic. We believe in delivering high quality health services that provide you the attention and care you need. This also ensure a safe and sustainable workplace for our doctors.

We encourage appropriate booking times and make our best effort to keep the same out of pocket fee where possible. Reduced rates are in place for people with concessions.

Payment is required on the day of the appointment and in some cases prior to your appointment. Fees can be viewed in detail here on our website. Please speak to our reception staff if you are unsure about fees.

What's your cancellation policy?

We understand that sometimes life gets busy or your plans change, and you may need to cancel your appointment with us.

To ensure that other patients can access our medical services, we asks that you cancel your unwanted appointment at least 3 hours in advance to avoid a cancellation fee. In urgent situations, we will always do our best to accommodate your needs. Read more on Billing Policy.

How long does it take for my results to return?

We know that waiting for your test results can feel like a bit of a roller coaster ride.

Most test results will return within 3-5 business days. Certain tests or scans (such as cultures/MRIs) may require additional time for processing. Occasionally, there might be delays due to unforeseen circumstances.

Generally, if you do not received a notification about your test results 7 business days after the test was performed, kindly contact our staff member for an update.

How do I get my results?

Our dedicated team of doctors will review your test results as soon as they are received and promptly notify our staff member to reach out to you with the necessary information.

If your results are within expected parameters, our staff will inform you, and typically, no appointment will be necessary unless you have questions or concerns you'd like to discuss with the doctor.

For results that require further discussion, we will contact you to schedule an appointment. Non-urgent reviews will be arranged within 1-2 weeks, while urgent reviews will be scheduled within 1-2 days.

Can I get a repeat prescriptions or referrals?

In the interest of your healthcare, repeat prescriptions and referral letters will only be issued with a consultation.
